Masterplan Overview

The Gargarro Master Plan provides a thoughtful vision to guide the stewardship of the site. It is responsive to climatic variables, recognises Australia’s indigenous history, and provides a multi-sensory design that enhances the wellbeing of visitors and the community.

Guiding Principles

Gargarro Gardens will exist to:

  • support people

  • preserve heritage & species

  • nurture landscapes

  • protect the environment

  • contribute to education

  • celebrate culture

  • promote social connection

  • exemplify good design

Feature Projects

The Gargarro Gardens are underway, with defined parkland, water storage, extensive plantings and the feature amphitheatre in place. The first of five sensory gardens is in place. Our community hub cafe has launched, and a plant nursery with an abundance of local and indigenous vegetation is now open.
